Happy Friday! Today’s post is going to be a little bit different, but I wanted to share what I’ve been up to the last few weekends (hence being somewhat quieter on social media…) I thought it would be fun to do a little photo recap of my travels, especially since I brought my DSLR along for the ride. I hope you enjoy!
Jersey Shore
One of my college bffs texted a group of us one night about a last minute trip to the Jersey Shore. Instantly we were all in! (hello spontaneity!) We spent two glorious days in the sun, eating way too much pizza, and of course catching up on life. The beach + best friends is pretty much the best, isn’t it?
Lickinghole Creek Farm Brewery
My mom, sister, and I drove about an hour to pick sunflowers one Sunday at Lickinghole Creek Brewery. While the flowers were pretty picked through, it was still so fun walking through the fields (minus the bees!!) I can’t wait to go back next year a little earlier in the season. Hello, free sunflowers!
Shorts (on major sale) / Lace Top (love this for $18)
Labor Day Weekend in Charlottesville, VA
My family had plans to spend the last weekend of the summer at the river, however Hurricane Hermione had another idea. So just a day before we were supposed to hit the road, we completely changed our itinerary and booked a little house in the mountains of Charlottesville. This was my first time using VBRO, and I would totally recommend it to anyone! Our little house was perfect for our family of six (+ two pups) and a short drive to multiple wineries/breweries. We spent the weekend in the sun, drinking delicious wine, and eating the best home cooked food (thanks mom and Steph!)

Top (sold out, but I own this one for only $16 and love this version) / White pants (my go-to)
Bristol, Tennessee
This past weekend Myles and I, along with a few of our college friends, made the trip to Bristol for the Tennessee vs Virginia Tech game! Ya’ll, this game was insane. It was the largest college football game in history (over 150k people) and literally was chaos…. However, despite the crowds we had a great time reliving our college years (even though our favorite team didn’t come out on top…)
On our drive back to Richmond, Myles and I also made a pit stop in Blacksburg to visit the VT campus. It was definitely nostalgic since I hadn’t been back in over four years. Luckily things hadn’t changed too much. Blacksburg is just as beautiful as I remember (and Benny’s pizza is just as delicious as ever 😉 )
Phew, that was a long one. I hope you enjoyed a little sneak peek into my life (outside typical fashion posts). Regular posting will resume next week (M/W/F), and I’m so excited to be spending the next few weekends in Richmond (the traveler in me needs a break, lol)
Are you a big traveler, or do you prefer weekends at home? I definitely need a balance…but am always up for a trip!
XOXO,

Thanks Amanda! I feel like I’ve been all over the place- but the Shore was so much fun. It’s definitely different than the southern beaches (but in a good way!)

What fun trips! That pizza looks AMAZING right about now and I love that white lace tunic on you! I love a balance on the weekends…if I could travel every other weekend, that’d be the sweet spot. Definitely need to get laundry & cleaning done on the non-travel weekends 😉 Happy Friday!
xox,
Kristin
