LOFT Spring Style – Try On

LOFT

Happy spring, friends! While it may not feel quite springy just yet, word on the street is it’s right around the corner. Fingers crossed warmer temps are heading our way…..

Anyways, last Friday I popped into LOFT to try on some of their spring pieces. I rarely make it out to the mall, but I’d been eyeing quite a few things and figured before I ordered way too much it was probably best to try everything on for quality/fit reasons 😉

LOFT has been killin’ it lately in my opinion. Basically, I want everything (if you follow me on InstaStory, this won’t surprise you…) So since I tried on quite a few things, I figured I’d share what I loved/didn’t love and what I picked up! I hope you enjoy….

BTW- all these pics were taken with my iPhone so quality isn’t 100%, but you get the picture!

LOFT

{Flutter Lace Dress}

If you can’t tell from the first picture, I’m crushing on all things navy and mustard right now. This dress caught my eye with the gorgeous lace detailing. It would be perfect for a spring wedding with nude pumps, but could also work in the office with wedges/heeled sandals.  The quality is also really great!

Fit: True to size

LOFT

{Cutout Lace Blouse}

I saw this navy lace cutout blouse online and I knew it was a winner. Naturally, it went home with me 😉 I love the detailing and the material is super soft. I know I’ll get a lot of wear out of this in the spring with white denim and a nude wedge. Definitely a keeper!

Fit: True to size

LOFT

{Striped Pleated Skirt}

I randomly picked up this skirt and was surprised how much I LOVED the fit. It’s such a classic piece and the perfect length for work/church/etc. I love it paired with navy, but I think it would look awesome with a white top as well. The quality is on point too- since it’s somewhat structured but not too thick. Another winner!

Fit: True to size

LOFT

{Striped Duet Dress}

So I wasn’t sure about this dress on the hanger….but I figured I’d give it a try. I loved the material so much and of course the navy color 😉 However, once I tried it on it was a definitely no for me. I think it comes down to my body type, but the top was not flattering whatsoever and the length was just weird (I’m only 5’3ish).

I still love the flowy material at the bottom and I think on the right body type this could be lovely!

Fit: Size down

{Striped Tie Back Bell Sleeve Top}

Confession: I specifically went to LOFT to try on this top. No shame. The verdict- obsessed! I love the color, the sleeves, the fit, and the material. If you’re looking for a fun bell sleeve top for the spring, this is the one!

Fit: True to size

LOFT

{Lace Up Sweater}

I’ve been looking for a perfect light weight neutral sweater for the spring and I think I’ve found it! I’m already planning on wearing this sweater on an upcoming trip with this pair of white denim and potentially these shoes (I’m looking at ordering the white pair, under $25!) for a comfy travel look. Just a heads up this sweater definitely isn’t long, but that’s what I was looking for.

Fit: True to size

LOFT

{Cutout Lace Dress}

Like the top above, I loved this dress! Unfortunately they didn’t have my size, so I didn’t take a pic. But I’d still say it fits true to size and the quality is great. The perfect navy dress for spring, with unique details <3

{Ruffle Pintucked Blouse}

I have to admit, I own way too many of these type of blouses from LOFT but they’re just so good. They wash well (WIN!), and are super practical. While I didn’t pick up this color, I have a feeling it might end up in my closet in the upcoming weeks! Fit is true to size.

Right now LOFT is doing 40% off for cardmembers, and 30% off for others (code SPRING17). If you’re looking for some fun new pieces to add to your spring wardrobe, I highly recommend checking out LOFT! I apologize in advance if you fall in love with too many things though 😉

As always, thanks for reading and I hope ya’ll have a great weekend!

XOXO,

Work Style Wednesday #6: Staying Warm in the Office

{OUTFIT DETAILS}

Grey Poncho- old, similar here and here (both under $40)

AG Jeans- LOVE the medium wash, recently scooped them up from here on sale

Suede Heels- Such a closet staple that come in multiple colors here (super comfy too!)

Mockneck Top (old, similar here and here on sale)

Happy Wednesday ya’ll! I hope this week is treating each of you well. I had every intention of popping in to share some spring outfit inspiration, but the weather the last few days had other plans (seems like Mr. Groundhog was actually right with this whole winter thing…)

So here I am with another winter work style outfit to share. I must admit I was 100% caught off guard on Monday with the freezing temps and was struggling all day in my cube. I told myself that Tuesday I would be better prepared with a poncho, blanket scarf, or even a blanket at this point, lol….(definitely have been guilty of rockin’ a blanket at work)

As much as I just wanted to hide under a blanket all day Tuesday, I figured I should try to look somewhat presentable 😉 Enter this grey poncho that I’ve had in my closet for over year….

A neutral poncho in my opinion is a closet staple because not only is it super simple to layer, but also it’s  incredibly warm when spending hours in a potentially freezing office. What I love most though, is that you can easily take it off and your outfit is still super chic!

Also just a side note- I swapped these jeans out with white ankle pants, but I love the look with black pants or even a pale pink/blue if you’re feeling bold! I wanted to share these jeans with ya’ll today, since I’m loving the fit and sizes are running out 🙂

poncho

So there you have it. As much as I’m dreaming of spring this week, I’ve accepted the fact that we still have a few more days (weeks?)  left of winter. In the mean time I’ll spend it attempting to stay as warm as possible!

XOXO,

{OUTFIT DETAILS}

Halogen Bell Sleeve Tunic (40% off!) / Black Skinnies (similar here under $40) / Leopard Pumps (personal fave!) / Monogram Necklace

Happy Wednesday friends! How’s everyone’s week going? I for one am counting down until Friday. I’m taking my family to tour our wedding venue and I couldn’t be more excited, but that’s a story for another time 😉

The other day  I realized I’d gotten off track with my Work Style Wednesday posts, so I figured nows as good a time as ever to bring them back! Lately I’ve been trying to only add pieces to my wardrobe that  1.) can be worn multiple ways (functionality is key!) and 2.) I will wear more than once…

Which brings me to this bell sleeve tunic I picked up from the Nordstrom sale….

bell sleeve

Ya’ll, I’m obsessed with this top. I’m definitely a sucker for all things bell sleeve and the color is perfection. It’s so good that I’ve already worn it twice in the last two weeks..whoops!

Not only did I wear this top yesterday to the office with these pumps (how gorgeous is this print?), but I also  took it from the office to happy hour/dinner the other week simply by swapping out these pants with the ones above. So easy for day to night!

Also just to note, this top is really structured- which I love. The material is a little thick which is great for transitioning to spring (temperatures are so weird around here!) I plan on wearing it with white denim in the upcoming weeks and these sandals. Apologies in advance 😉 I also can’t believe it’s $40….

Anyways, I hope ya’ll enjoyed this look. Thanks for stopping by!

XOXO,

What’s your go-to work look? Lately I’m all about anything peplum or bell sleeves with skinnies!

Spring Wishlist + Shopbop Sale

Happy Wednesday ya’ll! Three cheers for making it almost halfway through the week.

I was hoping to do a February recap today…but then I saw the Shopbop sale went live and it was too good not to share. I promise a February Instagram roundup/life update will be up later this week though!

shopbop

For those unfamiliar with this sale, it’s a good one. Now is the perfect time to stock up on any spring/summer pieces you’ve been eyeing at a discount (shipping is also free). A lot of these brands rarely go on sale, so if you see something you know you want, I would totally snag it now before sizes run out! Trust me, I’ve learned the hard way…

Personally, I’ve been holding out on most spring purchases…until now, lol. So I figured it would be fun to share some of my favorite items from the sale (brands like Wildfox, Rebecca Minkoff, Free People, AG Denim, Tory Burch, etc). If anything, I hope this post inspires ya’ll for spring fashion  (isn’t it the best?!)

{Tops}
{Dresses/Rompers}
{Bottoms}
{Accessories}
What’s in my cart:

shopbop

One Teaspoon Shorts

This spring I really want to invest in a quality pair of denim shorts and these fit all my criteria! I’ve heard rave reviews about this brand, so I can’t wait to try them out. Definitely going to size up though!

shopbop

Tory Burch Ballet Flats

OMG the tortoise print is to die for. Is there such thing as too many pairs of Tory flats? (I’m going to go with no…)

shopbop

Endless Rose Top

The perfect white top to dress up or down! Love the lace details <3

shopbop

Pizza Float

Because who can deny a pizza float, lol?! I also love this one too 😉

And finally…

Two items I personally recommend from the sale would be this cover up (blogged here) and this top (blogged here– btw how was this almost a year ago?!) I love both and can’t wait to wear them again this season!

Thanks for reading!

XO,

Did you shop the Shopbop sale?! If so, what did you snag? I’d love to hear below!

Designer Shoes on a Budget

Outfit Details:

Prada Pumps (SnobSwap) / Joe’s Skinny Ankle Pants (obsessed and on sale!) / Similar Sweater

Confession: I’m a shoe-aholic. Now don’t get me wrong I’ve always LOVED shoes, but over the last few years my obsession has just continued to grow. My closet doesn’t thank me for this and neither does my wallet!

I think the love affair started when I purchased my first pair of Tory Burch Revas. Then came the Tory Burch boots, followed by the Millers, etc. You get the picture!  It was game over after that.

snobswap

While I love less expensive, trendy shoes (hello Target I’m talking to you!), there’s something about a ‘nice’ pair of shoes that I just can’t say no to. Not only are investment shoes generally more comfortable, but I’m convinced they really can up your accessory game and turn a plain outfit into something fab!

So while I LOVE splurging on shoes, sometimes it really just isn’t in the budget as often as I’d like (let’s be real, bills have to be paid as well as other adult responsibilities). Which brings me to SnobSwap – an online boutique featuring pre-owned designer pieces from luxury resellers around the country. I stumbled across this site and haven’t looked back since…..

snobswap

SnobSwap sells everything from bags, shoes, clothing, to accessories – carrying brands such as Louis Vuiton, Prada, Chanel, etc…Basically they have everything you could ever want and more. SnobSwap also sells new, gently used, and well loved items at a wide variety of price points. I’ve noticed that they run sales every week or so too (such as 20% off a particular designer, etc). **Edited to add- today they’re running 20% off all handbags, with code ITBAG <3 **

Moral of the story

I LOVE this site and have nothing but rave reviews with my experiences. I was able to score the Prada Nude pumps above at a fraction of the price (about 75% off!) They were also brand new, never worn with just a teeny scuff on the bottom of the sole which I was a-okay with.

Ya’ll, these pumps make me feel like I’m walking on a cloud! I know that I will get so much use out of these for years to come as well………

snobswap

Anyways, that’s enough of my rambling, but I just wanted to share my experience with SnobSwap. If you’re on the hunt for designer pieces at a fraction of the cost, check them out. The customer service team is also super helpful. I emailed them for additional shots and they responded the same day!

XOXO,

PS: I’m literally obsessed with these pants – snag them while they’re on sale! (They don’t stretch and fit true to size!)

Are you a fan of designer consignment stores? Do you have any favorites, I’d love to hear below!?
